encore Streaming Screening of "Saving Mes Aynak" oct. 14-20th at The Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival

The Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival, the largest archaeology film festival in the US, will be presenting an encore stream of the award-winning documentary “Saving Mes Aynak" over the length of the festival from Oct. 14 through 20th, 2024.

The ancient Buddhist city of Mes Aynak, Afghanistan is under imminent threat of destruction as mining commences. 

This encore streaming of an updated version ofSaving Mes Aynak is happening to raise awareness about this incredible and priceless heritage, to celebrate the work of Afghan archaeologists who risked their lives to save it, and to raise awareness in order to stop mining from ever happening at or around the ancient city.

Saving Mes Aynak has won over 30 major awards and has been broadcast on television in over 70 countries.
